The recession has had many of us pinching our pennies. A dollar has to stretch farther than ever before. With so many watching their budgets, we were curious to hear if you were making any changes to your activities?
Are you staying in more? Are you doing more home entertaining? Please tell us what you think. We want to know!

we are definitely staying home more...we find things to do at home that are fun. we have board game night and movie night and cook on the grill night and on nice friday or saturday nights we have camp out night in the back yard. it is actually a good thing as we are spending more quality time together.
I agree, enough about the recession, we are all well aware of it! How about bringing to light the doubling of debt our President "Messiah" (what a joke!) has gotten our country into. It took 20 years to get the debt we had prior to him, it took him 16 weeks to double it!! POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS THE END OF AMERICAN LIBERTY! We are heading for socialism, and that is a trillion times scarier than a recession!
We decided to put in an above ground pool and a deck with nice furniture for a summer vacation instead of traveling. It's great 18x33 and it will continue to bring enjoyment, plus an investment in our property as well.
I work alot so when i do have time off i usually try to do things with the kids...they really enjoy picking up a takeout order and going for a drive and picknicking along the way...or a five dollars each thing at the dollarstore they especially love...they pick out their own things and also learn to spend their money wisely..
Even though I have been very fortunate and have not been effected by the economy, I sam more aware of the money I am spending. I spend less and stay home more.
Because I am staying at home more, I am working hard to make my house more cozy and comfortable.
Free...or...cheap
Definitely spending more time at home. I have to drive a lot for my internship, so I try not to drive anywhere other than work!
I have started using coupons, I used to think it wasn't worth the trouble. I am surprised at how much money they save, We only go out to eat at places we have coupons for now.
We rent our free movies from the library, books from the library and play outdoors alot!
