I haven't changed any of my routines. I find it important, at least in my case, to keep life and things my fiancé and I enjoy the same. Life is far too short and I do understand there are limits, but we keep a pretty balanced economically and emotionally satisfying life. And in no way shape or form are we "wealthy", but the media scares the public into a saving frenzy and I truly believe that is a large part of consumer purchases plumbeting. It is our responsibility and right to pamper ourselves. When you look good you feel good. You work harder because your soul is happier and eventually the economic pay off of that will keep you going!

I never really went out all that much anyway, so nothing's really changed for me.

We're lucky and have not been affected much by the economy. We get killer coupons in the mail and there are fewer people in restaurants so we actually go out more often now and feel less guilty about it.

We dine at home more often and rent movies rather than going to the theater to see them

This economy has put a freeze on hiring on jobs as well as a freeze on worker's raises. This means as though the prices continue to raise the money we earn is not. We have one slpurge a year in the summer because we our a family of six. It is very hard when you have a bigger family to do afforable things.

I tend to find things to do that are cheaper or dont cost money. Like ive always taken my son to the park, but now its an everyday thing instead of me buying him things to spoil him.

We never went out a lot before, but even the amount of driving I have been doing has gone down considerably.

I have been doing a lot more at home and this has cut down on my gasoline expense tremendously.
