We often have leftovers, and every third day or so we just have leftovers for dinner. The whole family loves it and sometimes fights over who gets certain ones. Plus, with the cost of everything these days, it is great to get one more day out of our meals.

If the food is good one day it is often better the next. My husband and I lunch on leftovers. We can reach in the freezer find a ready made lunch, add an apple and be out the door.

My husband loves leftovers. I am the opposite. The only food I like as leftovers is spaghetti. Of course, I could eat spaghetti several times a week and not tire of it. But, back to my husband, he'll eat almost anything that is left over, except for spaghetti. When we got married several years ago, he asked why I didn't cook a huge roast or something in the crockpot on Sunday night. That way we can eat on it all week, he said. And, I said Ugh!!!! I have come to somewhat of agreement with him. Sometimes, I'll cook enough of something for one or two nights of leftovers. But that's the limit.

I must save left overs with the economy the way it is. I put left over veggies into the next meal and stretch chop meat with leftover rice. We certainly don't have money to through away.

The prices of food are going up and it's hard for me to throw away food. I penny pinch where I can.

Our family gets busy. Left overs are usually eaten the very next day. We have thrown out left overs, maybe four times in 6 months. Wow! I didn't realize that until just now. Thanks for the question. I will have to give the family and friends Kudos!

I drive over a hour one way to work each day leaving little time to work and clean up. With only 2 of us in the home, leftovers help keep the cost down and the budget in line. I agree that I can't seem to throw away good food now days.
