    I definitely don't see Barbie as a role model, but she and her friends were a lot of fun to play with as kids! I have boys so they are not into Barbie, but I do buy them for my friends little girls and will for my niece. I had great times with Barbie!

    I think things have changed so much that it can go either way. 1. She is made to have many different careers which shows a girl that she can grow up to be anything she wants. 2. Society and the media have made the female body an image that a lot of girls cannot achieve. To many Barbie is the perfect woman, young, beautiful and successful but she's not real. I grew up playing with Barbie Dolls and I loved it.
