If you are taught respect, both for others and yourself, all the other things in the list I think will happen. It's hard to have the others without first having respect.
Self esteem is very important for children!
the one thing i wanted my daughter to take from my experience was to, not stay in a relationship because you are afraid you can't make it on your own. Once the other person is aware they will make your life a living hell.
How sad that some think courage should be more important then respect. If parents can teach their children to respect there would be less bullying, less harassing and lairs might be put to rest. The second greatest Commandment is "to love thy neighbor as thyself." If you respect yourself and respect your neighbor, you will definitely figure out all the rest.
I picked other because I think they are all equally important! :)
honesty firsy!
I put other.. because my answer is all the above! But if I have to choose one.. I would say respect. Respect is important to me.. respecting yourself and others. I think that respect is just all the answers combined.
I always tell them treat others the way they want to be treated. I think everything else will go along with that philosophy.
Love. 1 John 4:7
Actually even though I chose compassion, I would have to say, all of the above. They are all important. Not one is more important than the other when raising a child.
