No - That is rude! (24.4%)
I am always asked what my girls and I want for Christmas. It makes shopping easier for people in our family. Then there is no need for returns.
I tell when Im asked, otherwise I may drop a hint or two and cross my toes!
I put together a list and ask everyone to do the same. That way you don't really know what exactly you are getting, but you kow it is something you want. I also listen when I go with friends or family and if they say something in particular I go back and get it.
Ditto - only if they ask. Usually it's mostly for the kids we ask for ideas -- sizes, interests, that kind of thing. We don't do as much among the adults.
If my family asks what I want/need I tell them, otherwise I wait to be surprised. But with my daughter, I like to collaborate with all family members to make sure that she doesn't get more than one thing. Also we can end up getting things that will go together.
Everyone should save money in order to buy what they want, instead of telling others what to buy for them for Christmas. This opportunity can save time.
I am not a person to ask for something at all, and I love getting anything. A simple thought it better than nothing at all.
I do for my special nees daughter when asked for those that do not know her as well. She may be 20 but mentally she is 18 months and has autism. Baby toys don't work so I suggest bubble bath, or a gift card to McDonalds or Starbucks.
