What is the definition of "fresh"? It's an overly used word that means little in advertising. I don't think any of the above are your healthest decision but we know that going in. Reading the nutrional label there are all sorts of chemicals added to the food or in the processing of that food. And even the healther choices on the menu are very refined, like white flour, or low quality oils in dressings, and high sodium content. I will say though Wendys in my area has been the most accomodating, as many times we opt to use lettuce instead of a bun or ask to make other changes to something on the menu.

Disagree with the Subway statement. Worked there for a week and after I seen the ingredients and the way they are handled and how they come in....will never eat there again. Not to mention that I thought this was one of the better restaurants in our area. I worked at Chick-fil-a though and all their ingredients are fresh even their lemonade (I should know I squeezed enough lemons..lol).

The statement "fresh" is misleading. Fresh does not necessarily mean fruit and veggies. I think of 'fresh' as meaning any food that is just that 'fresh' meaning not old. If this meant fresh as being fruit and veggie then it should have used the word 'healthy'. Some of the meat and bread used is just as fresh as the fruit and veggie and in others it is not. I have gone to Wendy's where the salad bar items are brown from old age. That is not 'fresh'. Yet my experience with McDonalds is that the food they use is fresh and that includes all the food such as the meat and burger buns. Just my opinion....

I tend to agree with some of the posts that they tend to use more veggies on their sandwiches than the others that were listed.

I chose BK because their tomato and lettuce on burgers is not as soggy as the others.
