New Orleans has been partying since the Saints won the Superbowl. The spirit of Mardi Gras helped unite the city after Hurricaine Katrina five years ago. Have you ever been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, or another holiday? Do you celebrate Fat Tuesday in your hometown? Please tell us, we want to know.

I have never been but have always wanted to go. One of these days....
I would love to visit there. I know they have done so much to rebuild after Katrina. The way the community has pulled together to rebuild there home and make it better is something that I would love to go and see.
It's been a long time since I was there, went for Mardi Gras. It was fun, although I rarely drink. The architecture and culture is amazing! The aquarium was top notch too. I'd love to go back, but not during the big party.
I have been to New Orleans several times, all prior to Katrina. i would love to go back someday. I had the pleasure of spending a Christmas there and it was the most beautiful place at that time of year....so quaint, so friendly, so romantic! Granted, all of the restaurants were not open but the ones that were open were fabulous! The shops are wonderful and I really enjoyed the food and music! Such an amazing place, I only hope the post Katrina New Orleans is just as special !
I have visited NO many times. It is quite a party town for adults. However, there are a few things to do for kids such as the zoo. Also, the food is great.
Use to Live there. Great fun city adn so glad that I have experienced all that Marid Gras (and the city) has to offer
I was surprised to see a percentage of people that voted N/A no interest. I have not been there yet but would LOVE to go. Someday I will! I went to school in Charleston, SC and love the southern hospitality. I have heard so many wonderful things about New Orleans from great food, great music, great atmosphere etc. No offence, but you lead a very sheltered life if you have no interest in experiencing anything other than what you're use to.
Love, love love visiting New Orleans! Have been probably 8 times, all were before Katrina. To me this city signifies what the South is all about. Fantastic food, & lots of history. We took the River Road drive last time we were there. Would love to go back!
I have only been once, but definitely want to go back. Love this town.
Yes, I have been there a couple times. 1st time we took a group of youth kids down there right right after the storm and we gutted homes so that they could be rebuilt by others in the church community. At the same time we go out into the apartment complexes and set up games for the kids to participate in... the kids really loved it and enjoyed the activities...especially the water balloon launches on those really hot days! :D 2nd time we focused more on the kids and again set up games and activities for each day that they can participate in. It really touches your heart to see how sweet some of the children are...and when they are laughing and playing games ~ the joy is contagious! :)
