I absolutely loooooooove valentines day the part is the mushy gushy lover stuff that everyone enjoys. Why can't it be about spending time with your friends and family and how much you appreciate them and not how much you love them? I love my family and friends!

Absolutly,it's a day set aside in our busy lives to remember why we love, period. It doesn't have to be any one person, pet whatever, it's a day to have love in our hearts,we often forget or hide this emotion..sad huh?

I was never a huge fan of the really typical roses and teddy bear thing ( i do like the chocolate), but I do spend time with just my boyfriend and we cook dinner together. So it is something special, but nothing too big.

I've been a widow for some time now....but I used to bake a heart-shaped red velvet cake (from scratch) each year.

My husband and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day as a couple since by daughter came along. She was actually born on Valentine's day so now it is more about her than anything else. I do buy my son a gift for Valentine's Day and I usually cook a special meal to celebrate. Then we have a cake and ice cream to celebrate my daughter's birthday.
