If you voted for President Obama in 2008, would you still vote for him today?

Recently we polled SheSpeaks members on their perceptions of President Obama’s first year in office.  About 28% thought that he was doing a good job.  So, we were curious, if you voted for President Obama in the 2008 Presidential run, would you vote for him again?  Why or why not?

Please tell us what you think.  We want to know.

Yes (55.5%)

No (10.2%)

I did not vote for Obama (34.5%)

If you voted for President Obama in 2008, would you still vote for him today?

I voted for Obama. I stand behind that vote because I still think he was the best option. However, my preference would have been Hillary Clinton or perhaps McCain WITHOUT Sarah Palin. I really, really dislike Palin.

What, exactly, is the problem with socialism? Everyone having a free college education, health insurance, day care, for children and maternity leave for new mothers? 'Cause that's what they have in Europe. Yeah, sounds TERRIBLE.

I agree with jenndta and he is the hardest working president I've ever seen in my lifetime. I also appreciate the attention he has provided to the unemployed and non-rich working people. He came into an already made mess and is taking on all challenges. Most people won't even admit to the benefits they have reaped from his presidency thus far. Politics are politics and everyone will have their own opinion, but I can admit to when a president just sits by and lets this country go into ruins like the Bush and his admin did......and it was soo obvious. And because politics are politics; I worry about the children's future no matter who is president!

I did not vote for him and still am behind my vote. As an Independent voter, he was unable to persuade me that he could really change America for the best. I don't think anyone has the right to compliment or complain unless they voted in the 2008 election.

Whats wrong with solialism? NO freedom is the problem! You will have no choice, where to go to college, get your healthcare or where to put your kids daycare! The reason so many people come to this country is because of the freedom we have here. I don't think you grasp the full aspect of what Obama is trying to do here.
