Do you think the cold weather across the U.S., particularly in Florida, has anything to do with global climate change?

Across the U.S., the weather has been unseasonal.  Last week, Florida experienced freezing temperatures.  We were curious, given the strange weather patterns of late, do you think that global climate change is upon us?

Please tell us what you think.  We want to know!

Yes, the unusual weather is a symptom of global climate change (52.5%)

Yes, the cold weather proves that climate change is NOT a problem (6.0%)

No, the cold weather is just a natural occurance unrelated to climate change (41.5%)

Do you think the cold weather across the U.S., particularly in Florida, has anything to do with global climate change?

The cold weather is from all of the polar ice melting so quickly and dispersing into the air. It gets churned into weather patterns eventually. Our oceans have so much to do with our weather. Hurricanes are born in the oceans.

There is too much overwhelming scientific evidence that points to the fact that global warming is changing our climate and the world we live in. What frightens me is the number of people who doubt this and continue their destruction as normal. The American Indians had respect for the planet and understood the importance of giving back what they took. Where have we gone wrong???

This is a subject we don't like to discuss because the resources we use are needed. But, weather is unpredictable, snow in Houston is a rarity, but like some else said, it is winter after all, we go from 60s to 30s in a day due to a storm moving through. It is just like a rain storm in the summer coming through...maybe it is global warming, maybe it isn't, but we can't continue to use the earth the way we are.

I agree with Britnev. And here 'in my world' of Oklahoma, we rarely get earthquakes. But now, we are having an earthquake happen every 1-2 weeks. My husband told me that today's was 3.8, so they're getting stronger. I called to find out how much more earthquake insurance would be on top of my current coverage and it's $176.50 per year more. Boo-hoo! Unfortunately, businesses and governments around the world aren't going to stop poluting and the polar caps will continue to melt. The added water weight put into the oceans from the polar caps will bring havoc to us all.

Not sure I believe in Global Warming, but I do believe we are to care for the Earth and that our bad decisions has consequences for future generations such as pollution!

I do believe in Global Warming, but I can also remember the old timers saying the weather changes every 50 yrs. or so to extremely cold winters or extremely hot summers. I know that in my part of Florida, we just broke 80 year old records. At my home on the central gulf coast, it was below freezing 12 nights in a row and got as low as 16 and in the low 20's several nights. We also need to be good steward's of the earth and all countries need to participate.

I think if we all did our part such as recycling, riding our bikes to work, turn off the lights whenever possible, etc.,then we can save our planet. But it takes each and everyone of us.

I 100% believe that the severe swings and shifts in our weather, the severity of the hurricanes, tsunamis, ect that we have seen in the last few years have everything to do with the destruction of our Earth. I believe that we are fools to think we can destroy what sustains us and our future generations with no consequence to our actions.
