I have a two year contract because I upgraded my phone. It's a good plan and I have been with the same company for 9 years.

Family plan. I hate that if a phone tears up and we need a new one we can't get one without paying an outrageous price for the phone or signing a new contract.

I used to have Verizon, which I loved the service. But, I was paying about $100 a month. I switched to a pay-as-you-go TracFone. I don't absolutely love the phone, but it is 'good enough'. I've had my Tracfone for about 8 months. There are different plans/minutes you can purchase. I bought enough minutes to last for more than a year. Though I can't remember exactly how much I paid, I know it was less than $200 for more than a year's worth of service. That's quite a savings after paying $100 a month.

I have a plan that has unlimited texting and phone calls for $50 a month which I love because the bill is the same every month and everything is unlimited so I never have to worry about going over any minutes.

We just changed our plan. We used to have a lot more minutes, but we decided that since so many people we talked to had the same company, and those calls were free that we would lower our monthly minutes to save money.

Family plan. I don't like it though. If your phone quits working before the contract is up you have to pay full price to get another one. Of course if you take insurance out you can get a used one for 50.00. I just keep it because I signed up several years ago and don't want to change my plan. It will be a lot higher now.
