The past few years, iPods and personal technology have been top-selling items. And, in the past, it’s often been a child’s toy that was the hottest commodity...does anyone else remember Cabbage Patch Kids and Tickle Me Elmo?!

I would like to give my kids something they could have fun with since they love having fun but that i could save on.
For the last 2 years I been giving the grandchildren electronic and clothing.
I have a granddaughter that was born in April of this year and i am sooo excied to do her christmas shopping!
Most times i lean towards clothing or cosmetics for family and friends i know well (their taste and style). All other gifts are usually more practical; a nice planner or stationery, things for work or school.
I also give my family what they always need, unfortunately with the economic down turn this year I will have to be a bargain hunter to be able to give the gifts i would really love to give.
The last few years our family has done a Pollyanna but this year I think I will buy gifts for everyone. I will be doing budget shopping at places llike Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Everyone will get something personal but useful.
My family only does christmas gifts for the kids. It saves lots of money and the stress of looking for the perfect thing for everyone.
I like to give practical gifts such as things for school or the home or car.
I plan to give my family gifts that they can really use and need. The economy has alot to do with the type of gifts I will buy.
I have fun shopping for my nephews. I always tell them that their Christmas list has to be given to me by Thanksgiving, that way I can shop the black friday sales the day after. I look forward to that day, good deals, good friends, and a good turkey sandwich when I get home (not much sleep though).
