What type of online coupons/promo codes are most compelling when shopping for back-to-school online?

There are many types of online coupon codes, and shopping websites usually allow only one coupon code per purchase.  Do you always choose a certain type of online coupon code, such as free shipping or a %-off discount, or does it vary?  

We especially want to hear your thoughts about online coupon codes when doing back-to-school shopping online.  Let us know what you think!

I consider all online coupon codes and choose the highest value offer (41.6%)

I don't use online coupons/promo codes for back-to-school shopping (2.0%)

    I have to say that I love love LOVE FREE SHIPPING Codes! I always feel incredibly guilty shopping online and paying shipping when I could just go to the store and purchase it there. And as someone else on here mentioned, it would be great if we could use more than one code: FREE SHIPPING + % OFF

    I like the buy one get one free since I always have to buy three! I have three kids

    My daughter is in college , so I haven't done any online school supply shopping.

    I did get a few thing on line for back to school, but online codes can be overly difficult. For the time being it seems easier to shop B&M stores, hopefully this will change.

    My G,Baby just started kindergarden and I bought her most of her school clothes at 30% or more below regular price. As far as school supplies crayons, colored pencils,etc. I bought these items at our local Walmart where they were having terrific sales that were at least 5% off normal prices. My main complaint about online shopping is that unless it is a very good deal,...whatever you save on the shopping you spend on the shipping.

    I like to shop at stores rather than online but my first choice for saving money at the store or online would be the buy one, get one free!!
