I am on a very tight budget. I am a single mother and an educator, which is a double whammy. Even with a masters degree, I can't afford any extras after the utilities, mortgage and daycare are paid. All I have left is for groceries and gas. I am spending less because I changed school districts and will go 10 weeks between paychecks!

I need a budget that I can stick too. I know I should be spending less but I think I have to have everything I see!!

We've always been on the broker side so we're used to not spending much but spending here and there to go out to dinner or do something fun with our daughter. I'd say we're spending about the same.

We weren't spending a whole lot of money to begin with but, NOW, we 've started spending even less. We can feel the numbers crunching!

I'm spending less only because my husband is in the US Coast Guard and is out to sea.

My husband lost his job (again) 4 months ago, so we are trying to cut back on the spending even though we are finding it hard to cut out the small luxuries we have allowed ourselves. Plus, with hubby home all the time we find him spending much more than he used to. We try to use coupons when available, have cut back on our meals out, don't go to the mall anymore and generally try to shop for the best price. Being a childless couple, it is those small weekend breaks away where we still splurge and probably still spend way too much.

Money has been tight, and we are expecting another child in February. So with the winter and home heating oil season as well as the holiday season coming up we are trying to cut back and save as much as we can.

My husband recently lost his job, I still work part-time but money is very tight. No extras. We definitely are spending alot less than before
