You may have noticed that retailers like Sears and Kmart have put holiday shopping displays up early this year?  They are hoping to get a jump on holiday sales by enticing consumers with sales well in advance of the holiday shopping season.

Would you start buying holiday gifts early because of a sale?  Or do you find this early push for the holidays annoying?

Please tell us what you think. We want to know!

I don't think I've even given the holidays a single thought yet! I don't know... what if I change my mind or they do? That would make returns such a hassle. For now I'm still just trying to cover my monthly rent and eating out here and there. The holiday presents can wait! And especially if these early sales are at KMART and Sears... yeah, I wouldn't go looking for my gifts there.

I am always on the look out for a good bargin...I always keep in mind what family members like or need and if it's on sale...I will take advantage of it and buy it...we have a big family and buy for everyone...so we can't wait til the chrismas rush to buy everyone. A couple is fine because you find great deals at crunch time, but not all.

I'm struggling to pay my daily bills, so holiday gifts are far from my mind right now. However, I'd probably go ahead and make a purchase if I saw a deal I couldn't refuse.

I always start buying gifts in the post christmas sales and keep going from there. I buy items that are 75% off and keep them for future gifts. This gives me the opportunity to give nice gifts plus keep within a good budget. I have had times where I needed a gift but did not have time to look for one - my little box of gifts always comes in hand.

I sometimes buy little stocking stuffers or toys my kids will like, but for older family and friends I wait until Christmas gets closer and people have little wishlists. I like buying them things they really want not just things I get a good deal on but they may not like.

I've been too focused on school clothes and supplies to worry about the holidays yet. I usually wait until after school starts and things settle down to start studying sales adds and so forth for good Christmas ideas. I have however, already been buying extra food/meals for the holidays so I can spend less on groceries then and more on the kids.

I wish I could say that I'm as ambitious as others but I just can't seem to 'stock up' on good deals. I tried doing that in the past but ended up digging them out of hiding and giving (or using them myself) too early. :)
