I like to try to find out what people like by listening- and get them something unexpected.

I listen to family & friends all year about things they might say like or need, sometimes if I see it early on for a great price I will purchase it & put away until the holidays. This saves alot of time & money.

We usually do a secret Santa gift (pick a name from a hat) for the adults and gifts for all the kids. It seems like the older i get the more gifts really dont matter as much as spending time with the ones i love.

Actually, I try to think of something that reflects back to something that has happened to them. Example: every year at Christmas as a gag gift I get my niece a peguin of some kind (or many of them...lol) because we were all playing the game Mad Gab one Christmas & the words were Deep Inn Quin. Well, she was about to die laughing at my husband because she said that he sounded so very French; saying De Peguin. So now it's a contest between who can find the cutest peguin things things for each other.
