In addition to these, I always look for buy-one-get one free offers...you get two products for the price of one...a really good money saver!
Closely watching my favorite stores for sales and instore and on line bargains. I have found that there are deals out there right now, you just have to watch. There are tons of incentives to get shoppers to spend their money right now, just spend it wisely!
i can't afford big ticket items, so i am shopping at the discount stores, or if a store does have a good coupon then i might use it.
I have been saving my coke reward points and pepsi points and also cash out for gift cards from various sites and on top of the survey money I receive I use that for holiday shopping :-) I can usually cover christmas for my two kids a teenager and a 5 yr old. I have used some for b-days also so kind of cut in a little on my x-mas fund but I look for free shipping items and check clearance items too they aren't too picky on what they get or have extravagant wants so I am lucky there.
I find coupons in magazines, newspapers & online-It's all about saving these days! My fav coupon site is A Full Cup!
I shop at CVS and Walgreens with coupons and take advantage of Extra Care Bucks (ECB) I receive when buying specially marked products.
I always shop clearance, last year I spent 200 dollars for a 1000 dollars worth of Christmas gifts. I start my shopping in January and watch for the deals. For groceries I use coupons on good deals and can usually feed a family of 5 for 50 to 100 dollors a week. This is name brand food and good meals not just quick on the go meals. It takes time to go through coupons and ads but it is well worth it.
i am planning to go shopping the day after thanksgiving. i found some really good deals at kohls last year.
my grocery store has a policy that if it is buy one get one free, and you only get one, it is half price. That is nice if you don't need 2 of something!
Don't forget to use MyPoints, ebates, and Upromise when shopping online all year long! MyPoints earns points for gift cards, ebates issues payments every quarter, and Upromise saves for college.
