Do you color or highlight your hair?

Spring is well underway and it seems like so many of us like to "brighten" our look after the long and dark winter! So, we were curious, just how many of us actually highlight our hair?

Whether you do it to cover grey, brighten up your own color or to completely change color, we were curious, do you color or highlight your hair? Why?

Yes- I usually do it myself with home hair color products (50.5%)

Yes- I usually go to a salon for a stylist to do (28.5%)

No- I do not color or highlight my hair (11.6%)

Not yet, but I'm thinking about it (9.3%)

My hair is too long for me to do an exellent job at home. It's costly to go to a beautician but well worth the excellent job she does.

I always color mine and my mom's hair at home, its just too expensive to have it done professionaly. Nice'n Easy is part of our beauty regimen

I usually have mine professionally done every 3 months or so and do it myself in between. I've found Clairol or Loreal products to work just as good as salon quality, however, I do enjoy the experience of having it done for me. :-)

I always have my hair sone at the salon. Its interesting that some women would put cost over quality and personal apperance. You dont have to spend a fortune but I think pro work is worth the investment.

Ive been coloring my hair myself since I was 12. Now that Im almost 30 I realize the importance on quality hair care versus some of the crazy stuff I did to my hair in the past! I am fortunate that I have a best friend who works in a salon so I get free services. I just have to drive 45 min out of the way and be her last appointment. I say thats worth it to see my best friend that I dont see often and save over $100 for a great color and cut!

I used to dye my hair all radical colors, but never a natural, boxed color (or salon color, for that matter.) I think my flirtation with purples, pinks, blues and greens has passed. I have thought about highlighting or something else to that effect, but I haven't the money for the salon nor the guts to try home highlighting!

I always color my hair at home and now everyone I know gets me to color their hair for them because I am so good at it. Maybe I should start my own salon!!

I've become disgruntled with salon coloring. I always ask for a price estimate for what I want before I commit, but when they're done, they've charged me up to twice as much as they quoted me.
