Have you ever purchased a beauty product "as seen on TV?"

Recently we’ve noticed a lot of product reviews on SheSpeaks inspired by beauty products advertised on television. Some of these "as seen on TV" products include "Strap Perfect," the bra strap eliminator, "Bumpits," the hair accessory that gives volume to the crown of the head, and "Smooth Away," the all-over hair remover.

We are curious to know what you think of products advertised on TV in the form of an infomercial. Are they too hard of a sell? Or, do the product demonstrations persuade you to buy? We’d love to hear about the items you’ve bought and if you’ve been satisfied with your purchase!

I purchased Smooth Away and I was disappointed. It takes awhile to work on larger areas such as arms and legs. that part was okay but the face WATCH OUT! I was thrilled at first and told many people until the next day. I had so many small red bumps that actually turned into pimples in areas I've never had them. Upper lip, corners of mouth, all along the bottom of my cheekbones. It was awful and I will never attempt the face again.

One of my favorite purchases online so far has to be Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty. Especially love the Glowing Serum. My skin feels soft and supple.

I bought the Smooth Away from Target for $10 when it was on sale for $20 plus $10 shipping and handling on TV. It only worked on my legs but made them chalky. I wanted them to work on my upper lip but all they did was create a burning sensation.

i have purchased the ped egg for my husbands and my feet. It does work. We followed the directions and a couple days later the soles of our feet were smooth. My feet weren't so bad but my husbands were and voula.....a miracle. I watch infomercials regularly and don't usually buy unless something really pertains to me or my family. i am really happy with this product.

I have bought a few products as seen on TV and have only been dissapointed once. I think the quantity is lacking more than the product and it does get annoying having to have an automatic re-order. Why can't we just re-order if and when we want?

I purchased a Ped Egg and just love it. It's very convenient and well worth the ten dollars I paid for it!

I tend to have very dry feet no matter how often i put lotion on them. i bought the ped-egg and I've had many products like it before, but so far it's doing really well and the results are lasting longer than the others.

Do not buy As Seen On TV no need to use a blade pads. They are a waste of money and DO NOT WORK on any type of skin. Even on men. I tryed it out on myself and husband thinking it might only work on different type of hair and it does not.
