I'm a Weight Watchers gal, so I look at calories, fat and fiber to calculate my points!
I chose calories because I am on a 1200 calorie a day diet and I have to be aware of everything I put into my body!
I chose calories cuz I try to stay ontop of how many calories I eat to know how much I have left!!
Is it not true that if you are on a diet that you want to look at the sugars and the carbohydrates??
I think a person should take everything into consideration when reading food labels, but I could only chose one..lol

We need to look for more than one factor when you look for the wealth been of yourself or other.
we need to check for nutrition factors
I always compare the fat content to the dietary fiber content. I also check the sodium amount.
I always like to look at all the contents, too, because the info can be misleading. Just because something is low fat and low cal, doesn't mean it isn't stuffed with carbs - which turn into sugar and then fat anyway. I always try to find foods that are low in sugar, carbs and fat, but I never pay too much attention the the calories. Bottom line, if it's something I really REALLY want, I'll just ignore the label, eat it anyway, and make up for it later at the gym!! : )
I really look for organic ingredients and all of the above.
