My husband and I were successful in losing 50 and 35 lbs. respectively last year, and we want to keep up the good work. We are also saving for an epic vacation and want to save money. What better way to accomplish both than meal planning? I cooked all day Tuesday for 5 days worth of meals. I plan to do it again next Monday! I think we can definitely do it! I?m excited for the challenge!

I try to always bring my lunch to work to save money and keep easy meals on hand at home to save money instead of going out to eat.

This would be a breeze for me. I moved from a big city with fabulous restaurants to a small town with *one* decent restaurant - and the owner is a Chicago Italian restaurant owner - go figure! I really do like to cook anyway, and that way I know what's gone into each meal. I can control the calories and ingredients, and I know it'll be healthy!

#cook90 would be fairly easy for me since I am on a limited budget. I mostly cook at home (4-5 days a week) and could go the whole month without restaurants.

Absolutely not! I eat healthy outside of the home as well!

If one plans ahead, it is a little easier to cook at home. One can control the ingredients added, plus there are now many other ideas for crockpot usage. Pinterest also makes it easier to come up with interesting recipes; I'm in!

I don't think I could make all my meals at home. Some days I am not home and have a quick sandwich and beverage at the restaurant

I make most of my food at home and eat clean with few processed foods, but I don't have time to cook much. When I eat out, I pick healthy choices (no fried foods, no sweets, no refined flours) and I don't pay attention to calories or fat, since I'm pregnant. It also allows me to eat a wider variety of foods and satisfy cravings for flavors that I can't get at home.

I've actually been doing this for the most part since September. But not just because it is healthier. I can't afford meals out for my 3 kids and I as a recently single mom. Before September, we limited our meals out to just once a month. Now I am trying new recipes and expanding our food tastes. It's fun and delicious and rewarding and saves money and is so much healthier for us as we can control our intake better.
