Putting yourself in Silda Wall Spitzer?s position, would you stand by your man as she did when the news of his philandering broke?

Or would you tell him that he was "on his own"? We want to know what you think!

I think that these women are put into extraordinary positions and not given much choice for the sake of their families.

I think she's doing it for her family. Silda Spitzer is an intelligent and attractive woman. I'm sure she's thinking, "How dare he?!!"

I'm not really sure what I would do. It seems so unfair for the rest of us to judge when this might be the wisest - if not most uncomfortable- thing for her to do. What an idiot he was!

He was stupid for doing all that stuff, but we don't know what their relationship is like. We don't know how open they are with each other and how they talk through things. I don't think it's fair for us to judge her, we don't know what it's like to be married to him in the first place.

I am baffled by this? I guess that i just don't get this kind of cheating? Any cheating! What a fall for him. I'm sure there are lots of white collar criminals who are wringing their hands with delight! What a waste of a legacy and career!

I know she must have stood there for her children, but I wouldn't want anyone to see the jerk up there like I am in a hooker ring, didn't intend to get caught, but my wife is standing here supporting me. No me.

Once a cheat, always a cheat. He got caught and he is oh! so sorry, but whose to say that it won't happen again, I wouldn't want to take the chance, besides; you never know what he could be bringing home.

She is doing it for her status position and all the perks. No woman would take a cheater like him and be able to stand looking at him over breakfast, lunch or dinner. His face would always remind you of his many infidelities.

littlemac says " I'm sick of these self-rightous men standing up in public with their wives by their sides saying "Sorry" I think the guilty ones should stand alone before the public and allow thir wives to avoid as much public pain as possible. However, it must be said that she,Silda,or whomever, might just have made a lucrative deal for herself. Afterall he has billions and money talks.

I am not sure how I would handle this situation if it happened to me. Its easy to say what you would do when you do not really have to do it. I feel for these women and wish them the best.
