I agree, its hard to be optimistic however, how can we not be?! I'm proud that this country did the "right thing" and voted for change. Now let's give President Obama a chance to help us succeed!

As Americans, we have been asked to be "blindly faithful" in the past (Iraq anyone?!!). I am concerned about any president's ability to "make this better". However, I believe that Obama has the right skills to choose his team wisely. This is more than half the battle. Its never about one man, its about who he chooses to surround himself with. Only this, makes me cautiously optimistic about the next 4 years.

I didn't vote for him, but I am praying that he will make the best decisions for all of us. So far, I am impressed with the way he has chosen his cabinet members, etc. He is living up to promises made already by choosing qualified candidates regardless of their party. He seems to have a dignity about him. Hoping for the best, it couldn't get much worse.

It won't happen overnight, he has inherited a horrible mess to clean up. But I believe he is the right person to start the cleanup and I have faith in him.

I think many people have great expectations for OBama. He is only human and can only make so many changes and he can't do it like agwaltney said overnight. I worry that people think these amazing changes will occur and that it will happen so quickly. I guess we will have to wait and see what the next 4 years bring!

I believe there will be difference made. The results will not happen over night. The world applauds him and have hope for change as we hope for change.

I believe people are placing to much faith in one man. He is only one and must convince an entire group of very stuborn and agenda oriented men and women. We need to cut him a little slack, and pray for the entire system of goverment.
