Confidence is key. It doesn't matter what you learn at school, you need have the presence to attest to it .

I wish the best for teachers. I have countless teacher friends and family who work tirelessly. The system demands so much of teachers these days, and it's discouraging to see parents disparage and demand even more of teachers. Many parents place too much importance on small awards or grades or want teachers to make concessions for their children. I think parents do disservice to their kids when they try to overrule a teacher's expertise and try to get answers to tests ahead of time (yes, that just happened). Most teachers I know want the BEST for the kids .. not the other way around. Let's stop mollycoddling the kids .. they CAN do it if the parents butt out.

My teacher Kathy Brandt in the 5th grade called my parents to tell them I was being bullied. She taught me back then (I am 55 yrs now) bullying is unacceptable & we won't stand for it. My parents changed my school, and then I excelled. If I could find her now, I would love to thank her for the amazing gift she gave me!
