My daughter is grown and my husband passed away recently, but we did have family meetings regularly. I think everyone appreciated being on the "same page". My husband and I encouraged our daughter's input. Did we always all agree on matters? Of course not, but we did respect each others' opinions. And the best decisions for the family could be made when the three of us could make them together.

My daughter is only four and I think communication as a family would be a wonderful idea!!! Teaching her communication at such a young age is important so she trusts us to talk to when she grows older! I would have loved this growing up!

We don't have formal family meetings but every night at dinner we talk about our day and any problems we had.
