I have aweful allergies and have been getting shots for the past 6 years. I know it sounds like a long time, but the last 4 years are only once a month and I no longer have to rely on allergy pills every day. I can go outside in the summer, August is not aweful! I really recommend shots to those super sufferers like myself. Insurance covers most of the time! Go take a look! Good Luck!

Last fall my allergies got so bad that my asthma was acting up (which almost never happens). My doctor gave me a shot that was supposed to last 3 months, and I still haven't had to go back. I don't know what it was, but I am so glad it worked!!

I am an all season sufferer and began to get the shots as I'm allergic to literally everything that pollinates in our area. Grass is the WORST for me. I did the shots for about 9-10 months but quit going because I was still needing to do them 3x's a week and I have to drive 40 miles round trip to get them. As soon as they'd up my dose, they'd have to bring it back down because my reaction was so bad. With that being said however, I DO notice a difference this season and it's not nearly as bad as it was so even though I never 'graduated' to one a week at the strongest dose, it still helped with me not being so miserable! In the meantime, I use over the counter allergy meds with the 'D' to get me through a few of the rough patches.

some seasons are worse than others . . . last yr no spring or fall symptoms whatsoever. very concerned about this yrs predictions - i have zero patience for it. OTC has never helped me or my son, so we go straight for prescription.
