I want to stay in tune with my body and stay as healthy as possible.
I am trying to lower my stress, but I am finding it very hard at the moment. I was just diagnosed with Breast Cancer and am waiting on biopsy results as I type. Very nerve racking since they have confirmed that one site is cancerous. Any ideas on how I can lower the stress?
Hello debbi56, I myself suffer from terrible stress. I am not going through cancer and I imagine that would be a terrible thing and I wish you all the best. One thing that I do is seek out my therapist, make it a plan to talk to someone someone that is outside the box. A therapist is there for you, to vent, to cry, to scream and yell, trust me I have done it all. Also try deep breathing, It helps me a lot, but you know what cry when you need to. don't hold it in thats when the problems start. (hugs) to you debbi and good luck.
take time for yourself to come to terms with your diagnosis. It's a mourning in a sense i'm guessing. Reaching out for support like you have is another way of coping. I am also living with horrible stress (very ill husband) and I know how hard it is just to even put the words down in print, but it is cleansing. We're here for you any time you need to vent. Hope all goes ok...best of luck to you..you'll be in our thoughts and prayers
I have been eating much healthier lately.I'm feeing much better and losing some weight to boot!
IM EATTING HEALTHY AND EXCRSING MORE
I have started exercising this month and have been trying to do it for 30 minutes everyday. I have been smoke free for 1 1/2 months now. Yay for me. : )
Am trying all of the above but trying really hard to eat more healthy and exercise. Although exercise has always been a big part of my life, recent health issues have made me cut back. Now I am trying to keep exercise in my routine just not at the same intense level as before. Trying to add more fresh veggie and fruit into my diet everyday. It really is a simple plan to follow and never changes: diet, exercise, don't smoke and stress free. Much easier said than done.
Went to cardiologist yesterday if I was capable of lowering my stress level I would do so. Even the doctor agrees that I can't that even though I have started to work out my stress level is overly high and he's given me a pill to buffer it cause I can't do it on my own. I wish I could.
My husband has high blood pressure, I have yet to have that problem and we are now cooking better to help his problem ;)
