I live in the country where there are no leash laws and people are constantly dropping of animals in the area. Our neighborhood is the only one around and we all do our part in helping out these animals. Its really heartbreaking how some of them look when they appear at our door.
My family is lucky enough to share our home with our 3 wonderful cats. They are not pets to us though - they are family members with whom we share a relationship and bond with. They are my only child's brothers and sister who join him in fun!
We have a range of ages and sizes of people and pets. The boys love to run and play ball with our 85 pound shepard and our daughter loves her gerbils that can't weigh a pound together. The love that goes into taking care of them is such a good thing in our lives. No matter if you like fur or scales, everyone can find a pet that fits them.
I have a poodle. She is a full-blooded dog. But she is not a dog but a smarter than I some times. Never met a human that she does not love and thinks she is suppose to be loved by everyone. I wish all people could be that way.
I have a german shephard/ boxer mix. If I had a bigger yard I'd def. get more dogs.. LOVE THEM!!
We have two cats and I buy their food at WalMart.
I have a mutty little mutt dog that we got at the shelter. He has crazy hair, a codependent personality and is the other love of my life (besides my husband of course) He is the kindest, gentlest and most loving soul I've ever met and he's great with kids. He is adorable and perfect. I feed him Iams. He is staring at me because he thinks it is bedtime.
I am right there with mas8612. I live in the country and I seem to always have a stray dumped near by. I currently have 3 dogs. One of them has been with me for just a couple of months while I have searched for her owner and nursed her back to health. I cannot leave them outside in the area, or our local coyotes would be well fed.... No one seems to think about that when they dump them off :( I love animals of all kinds and will continue to nurture them as they appear. No need to look for my own, they find me first.
I have a brindle bull mastiff who weighs over 130lbs! Everyone (delivery, maintenance, walkers) is scared of him, but he is just the sweetest thing...
My son is highly allergic to dogs and cats. My husband and i love them, but we have 2 hamsters. He still is able to have pets, but just on a smaller scale.
