    We didn't manage to see any fireworks this year but had the rare chance for my two daughters and five of their six cousins to play together! They created enough energy to rival any fireworks show!

    We did not watch any fireworks this year. Our dog is scared of the fireworks around our house and we did not want to leave her home by herself or do any fireworks at our house. We just went out to eat for lunch and went to a movie during the day.

    This year we saw history in the making. All of my life, the sale of fireworks has been illegal in my state, but this year for the first time it was legalized. Seems like every corner had a fireworks stand. We watched the public fireworks over the hill, and my family set off a bunch of their own. It was really memorable.

    The time spent with family and friends was my favorite part. Just a time to take it easy.
