So, we were curious, how much are you spending this holiday season? More or less than last year and why? Please tell us what you think. We want to know!
I'm spending more this year (18.4%)
I'm spending the same (33.3%)
I'm spending less this year (48.4%)
I did not spend that much last year - so easy to stay within the same bounds.
With the economy still like it is, I am being very careful to spend my money wisely and to cut back as much as I can.
It is just too much. Our family needs to get back into the real meaning of Christmas...Christ being born.
Since this is the first year I have been considered a stay at home mom we will be spending considerably less.BUt The holidays are much more enjoyable in my opinion this year!
I have been fortunate enough to continue to have my same job so I will spend the same.
I lost my job...so I have no choice but to spend less.
What we been doing to save us money this yr is if there is something we can by using coupons we use them. Lately we been able to score free stuff well we pay tax but other than that anything I can buy with a coupon I am so doing it. This yr we actually discussed limits where in the past we just will hog wild.. This yr we are not able to do that..
We have been using coupons a lot more also. There have been some great coupons on toys, that have saved 50 percent or more and a number of stores at our mall have had pretty decent coupons for gifts for the rest of the family, so I would say that we are using our money more wisely this year
keeping a budget helps me spend less. Plus my family agrees that the holidays are about being together, not about presents.
i didnt spend nearly as much this year as i did last year. with this economy its really tough to go overboard. my friends and family and i are just thankful to have this time to spend together.
