    This year has definately been a year of trials and triumphs for our family.My husband and I seperated for 2 months,and now we are together-and stronger than ever.The holidays have always been special,and I decorate to the max-usually right after halloween! I go all out with lights in every room,a huge tree,decorations galore.But because of our seperation & reconciliation,we havent really had too much time to do any decorating.Besides,the true spirit of the holidays lie within our hearts,and the true meaning of Christmas.

    Got it all done before Thanksgiving and boy am I giving thanks now that it's cold and I don't have to go outside to decorate.

    This year my finances are much smaller than they were in the past. with all the cuts and social security not giving us any increases I must manage my spending. So I am unable to buy much decorations this year , but will try to do something around the house to cheer myself up and be thankful.H.Chatman

    The economy shows itself at the holidays....people decoeate later, with less decorations or don't decorate at all. Its been difficult for me being a single mom disabled due to cancer and on disability income which is far less than my income was as a pediatric oncology nurse and it shows in my decorating so late & with little enthuiasm when normally I love all the festivities & decorate big & very early......
