This was a nice product. I really like the look of the package. The consistency was nice. It was easy to use and the fragrance was light and nice. The product worked well to help straigten my slightly wavy hair. I don't know how this would work on very curly hair, but worked well on my hair. I did feel that it felt slightly heavy on my hair, which is why I rated it 4/5 stars. Overall, a good product that I enjoyed

I wanted to be wowed by this product but found it ehhh. I have tried any things in my hair to straighten and cut the frizz. I found that this didnt really do anything special. It smelled good, but I still have to use my straightener to take out the frizzies.

I used it a bit more and am not really sold. I don't see much of a difference in my hair.

I love this it makes it so much easier and faster to do my hair. It smells so good. Now it doesn't take forever to do my hair

My hair is quite curly. I can only achieve straight hair with a flat iron. I use a CHI iron, so it's a good iron. I wouldn't expect the product to work my hair when it was air dried and I didn't try doing that with this product. I only air dry when I want it curly. I blow dry when I plan to straighten it. I had similar results to other products when using this - it is straight, less frizzy than if no product is used, and makes my hair feel a little tacky or heavy (compared with no product being used). I typically re-iron my hair for day 2, which I still did. The smell is very nice, which I would expect from Aveda. You only need to use a small amount of the product, so it will last a long time.

While this product did reduce my drying time and made my hair feel good, it did not last as long as advertised nor really straighten my hair very much.

I tried on my frizzy and dry looking hair but it didn't help that much. Infact to make my hair straight I had to use the straightner and after washing the hair it didn't stay like that infact it was again dry and frizzy so I would just give it 2 stars because for me it didn't work well.

I was hopeful for this product as I know brand is a good one. I did not find that it lived up to the name. It made my hair feel tangled and there was hardly a scent to the product. I will definitely try something else but not this.

Aveda Naturally Straight isn't a miracle worker. It doesn't make your hair straight just by applying it, but it does make it straight, smooth, and sleek, without making it look greasy! Also, I did notice that my hair was easier to straighten after a few days of using the product. I only have to use it every couple of days to keep my hair looking naturally straight. It is a great value since you only need a little to get great results!

I thought this product worked fairly well. My hair smelled amazing! It also helped make my hair appear smoother and less frizzy which was a huge plus! I did not find that it made my hair greasier. I did however only use a very very small amount. (I don't like using huge dallops of anything as that's what contributes to making your hair appear greasy.) my hair seemed "straighter" but maybe that is because it was definately smoother! I recommend this product to help smooth away any frizziness you may have!

I received a tube of this and actually put off using it because I was concerned that some of the plant based ingredients that made sense to me for blocking frizz would also, in coating my hair, turn it dull, plus I had read reviews complaining that it dried hair, left it crunchy out, or left greasy build up. I finally decided to just go ahead and try it and then waited to review it until I had given it a lengthy span of using it, so that I can provide a broad spectrum review. My hair is in pretty good condition, having finally learned how to choose really good quality shampoo/conditioners that work for me. I color my just below shoulder length hair in reds, every four weeks, shampoo 3 times weekly and blow dry. My hair naturally is medium in volume and thickness, slightly wavy and frizzes up vey easily from humidity or no humidity, sometimes just sleeping on it. I had been using a tiny bit of argan oil, followed by Rusk Deep Shine pre-blow drying with great soft and shiny results, but stopped using those for my 6 week 'test run' with Aveda Smooth Fusion Naturally Straight. The first thing I did was go to a You Tube Vloggers site that I googled so I could learn how it should be applied because the tube directions are sparse. The video shows how to determine the amount of cream to apply, by dividing hair in half, parting down the back of the scalp, twisting between thumb and forefinger which gives a 'measure point' which turns out to be a very small amount that is actually needed- about half a dime size for each side of hair. The tiny amount really makes the high price more justified since the tube lasts so long. So, I washed, conditioned and applied to my towel dried hair, but only from ears down, then ombed through. I let my hair dry a bit and then just blowed dry with a diffuser and paddle brush. My hair, done this way three times a week just likes this cream a lot. It is left shiny, smooth, feeling like it has some strength. Frizzies are gone. Before the Smooth Fusion, if I put my hair in a clip or bunned, I had odd waves sometimes after letting it down, While using the Smooth though I can let it down, brush it and in a couple of minutes the waves drop out and I have smooth straight hair. I got these results from the first time I used it. Now my routine is to wash three times and follow with the tiny bit of cream, then skip using it for three washes. I never encountered dryness or crunchiness or greasiness. I think it is probably key to use the very small amount that is suggested if you check out the online 'dosing' guideline. I know from using other leave in products that it is easy to overdue which leaves a build up of a mess in hair. I would mention, as they say, that "your mileage may vary" so far as how much to use and how often to use it, but this is a product I love and that really surprised me- it is so hard to find a hair product that makes a good difference. One last thought- I do think it is a good idea to use a clarifying shampoo monthly so that build up, which any product will do, is removed, so to give your hair and scalp a breather.

I love that this creme smells good and cuts down on dry time. For me personally I didn't like that it felt heavyish on my hair (fine and wavy), it does help straighten my hair though and keeps it straight for awhile so it does deliver its promise. However I felt I still had more frizz than I wanted to but that may just be my hair type and seattle weather that causes this. All in all I would recommend it. Disclaimer: I did receive this free from Aveda and she speaks.

I would say the most important benefit of Aveda Naturally Straight is that it made my hair smoother and softer. I still needed to use a straight iron or curling iron to get the look I wanted to achieve, but I definitely feel like my hair is healthier and has more body, courtesy of Aveda Naturally Straight. It also reduced the amount of frizziness, especially in the under layers. The other nice thing about this product is that a little goes a long way. I can use a dime size amount and my hair is long, past my shoulders. Plus, the amount of blow dry time decreased. I would recommend this product as a means to reduce frizziness and smooth hair, but know that you probably will still need a heat product to get the look you want.

I am giving this 3 stars because I love the smell, consistency and the fact that it does help eliminate frizz, which a big plus for me. I have long, wavy hair. This didn't really cut down on my straightening routine time overall - I didn't find that using 5 times would lead to straight hair but again it definitely helped with frizz.

Since giving birth to my daughter 10 years ago, my once straight hair turned increasingly curly. My hair is long and thick so the weight does pull a lot of the curl out of my hair so when I don't straighten it, it is quite wavy. I was hoping that Aveda Naturally Straight would have taken some of the time out of the routine of straightening my hair or at the very least, left it with out frizz. I used it as recommended, and used a round brush while I blowdried. My hair had less curl, but still looked frizzy and wavy. I ended up having to use a flat iron to smooth it out more. While I liked the scent and consistancy, it was no miracle product for my straigthening my hair.
