I think this was an overall good book. some of the scenes were a bit tough for me to read as they are pretty graphic, in their depiction of the abuses against these animals. It was upsetting to hear these pieces of the story but I still could not put it down. In the end I wanted to finish the book in hopes for a good outcome.

A fabulous read!! There were times I would put the book down and when it was time to pick it back up again, I felt the need to grab the remote first because the book was so vivid in my mind it seemed as though I was watching a movie instead of reading a book.

I adore this book so much, I am scared to see the movie. I think no one could do justice to my imagination, so I will stick with that. I recommend this story to everyone I know

I saw the last half of the movie & loved it. That gave me the urge to read the book since they are usually much better. I'm a SAHM to 3 so I have little time to be able to sit & read. But when my book came in, I couldn't put it down! I was completely transformed to a time well before my own & felt all the struggles of the characters. By far, one of the best books I have ever read!

I hated this story as I was reading it. I got so upset at things that were going on, but I couldn't put it down. When I finished it, I cried. I loved the book as awhole. That review sounds confusing, but I really did enjoy the ending of the book. It was perfect!

This is an amazing book. The story holds you captive from the beginning until the last page. There is so much love and heart in this story. The characters come to life and its such an easy read!
