Just finished this book. Usually, I am not one for an angst filled romance; But, can I just say wow. I was so hooked that I finished the entire book in about two hours. I am all for female empowerment, and have no problem taking charge of a relationship. However, there is something about this just overly masculine male that heats my blood. Personally, I have no real interest in the Dark Chocolate side of erotica, but this may change my mind.

One of my favorite books!! The three books are so easy and fast to read but you don't want to finish them because they are so good! A romance with some spice! The book isn't a very difficult read and most readers could read this with ease. The book received a lot of hype for being all about sex but in my opinion it was quite harmless, and didn't go into great detail. If interested in romance novels I highly recommend!

Ok, I don't know you people so I will be honest. I LOVED this book. It opened my eyes to what I was missing out on in my marriage. We don't do the crazy things in the book, buy my oh my we are back on track!

50 shades books are o.k. I am not one to read books like this but after all of the shades of gray talk, I needed to know what the big deal was. The writing itself is sub-par. It is the steamy sex scenes that grabbed everyone's attention and even those get old quickly. This book boils down to a woman who becomes submissive to a controlling man...BLAH. At first the intense sex situations will intrigue you and then become entirely too predictable...

I've never read a romance novel. I hated all the mushy crap that's not believable. But my Girlfriends talked me into reading the first book...I ended up reading all 3. Yes some parts are waay risque but what I liked was the relationship between Ana and Christian. Me being like her. And knowing nothing about the kinky stuff.

All I can say is that my grandma told my boyfriend "You better be ready for sex when she's reading this book." You know what they say, grandma is always right.

I am one of the few people who did not like this book. It was very poorly written. The story line was weak. There was nothing sexy or interesting about it. Grey was a possessive control freak. What's so sexy about that. It was one of the most poorly written books that I've read in a long time.

I was so leary to read these books. But man are they good! The whole story line is crazy and you can't put the books down. They are intense but good

After reading some reviews. I may read this.

While this book can occasionally be stimulating and exciting it was overall an insult to me as a woman. All Ana is looking for is a man to own her. She refuses to be independent and only discuss how she wants Christian to take care of her. Her meltdown at the end of the book is reminiscent of a woman losing her identity which she so does in the next two novels.

Never set and took the time out and read the book but my friends say its a real good book

It's a book you should probably read to know what the hype is about, but the lack of plot made the book drag on forever. Every other page is a sex scene.

This book was so addicting I couldn't even put it down. I finally brought the other 2. I can't wait to read them.

I finally had to succumb to the peer pressure and give this book a try. I really tried to like it, and I will say that I did at first. However, the honeymoon period soon came to an end. The steamy sex was intriguing at first, but soon became repetitive and even boring, not to mention completely unbelievable. The female main character is so meek and innocent, not to mention totally obsessed with Mr. Gray that it started to get on my nerves. Needless to say I was definitely disappointed in this book.

I don't know what to say about the current generation if they think this is good literature. If you're looking for a good book, try reading anything by Jodi Picoult instead.
