The Grinch was my favorite Christmas character growing up. Jim Carrey is so talented in this film. His expressions are priceless. He draws you in. I dont even have children but love this movie every year - it is definitely a movie for "kids" of all ages.

I love this movie. It reminds me of my daughter, she would sing the "where are you Christmas" song all day long when this movie first came out. Jimmy Carrey of course makes a great Grinch and they couldn't have picked a better person to play the role!!!!

As a child I loved Dr. Zeuss. This movie is just a continuation of childhood in a manner that is acceptable to "adults" who want their children to view classic stories. Translation: It is a good reason to be a kid or be able to use your child as an excuse to go see a movie. The fact that the actions of the Grinch are explained by mistreatment in the past can serve as a lesson to children about the importance of tolerance and kindness. I only have praise for many lessons this movie can teach children if parents are willing to open up the discussion.

This movie is a fantastic spin on the original (1966) animated flick directed by Chuck Jones. Ron Howard does a superior job in directing Jim Carrey as the new Grinch, but I must say it lacks a certain something when you lose the amazing voice narration of Boris Karloff. The storyline hasn't changed much from Dr. Seuss' book- the grumpy Grinch, who despises Christmas, becomes exasperated by the activity of the who's and decides to ruin Christmas. HIs evil-doer plan? Steal everything associated with Christmas, from the presents to the trees to the infamous roast beast! Of course, it's Christmas, so no evil-doing can stay done for long and the Grinch soon learns the real meaning of Christmas- just in time to celebrate. The few additions this movie adds into the story to plump up the plot are welcome and wholesome enough for the family to enjoy while still bringing laughs for the grown-ups. The animation is perfect and so detailed you feel a part of whoville. Overall rating- 4.5 stars

I love this spin on the classic movie. Jim Carry plays The Grinch well. He is so funny. My daughter and I like to sit down every Christmas and watch this movie. We never get tired of it. The Grinch meanness and his attempt to scare the little girl is so hilarious. At the end, it's nice to see his change of heart. The graphics are incredible.
