GREAT movie

Very inspiring and great acting throughout. I was impressed, but I never read the book

The characters in this movie were perfectly cast. After reading the book, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they stayed true to the story. It was funny/witty/heartbreaking and endearing, just like the novel! Well done!

I need to read the book! The movie is absolutely amazing!! My boyfriend even liked it... my eyes were glued the whole time and I'm normally quite picky about movies.

I love this movie. I don't watch movies much so you can say it must be good if I watch the same movie over. I watched this one three times within two days.

If you like to read books written around older times, about slavery, etc. This is the book for you.

I enjoyed the movie but the hype made me expect a lot more from the film. If you don't listen to all the overblown talk about how great it is you will find it a very enjoyable movie.

I really enjoyed this movie, but I didn't give it a full 5 stars, because it just doesn't come close to the book. That's a common issue with movies, and I don't begrudge the filmmakers too much - there is simply too much detail to fit into 2 hours. They did a good job with the time they had, and it's an enjoyable film that I'll watch again!
