I thought the process was fairly easy. I have never higlighted my own hair before so I was a little nervous. It as a lot easier than I thought and I actually liked the end result. I only left the solution on for 15 minutes and it gave me the perfect shade of color. Not too light and just enough to tell there is some color. I would definitely use this product again.

This product was pretty fun to apply, although it took a bit of practice to keep the dye from getting gloppy on the comb. I was worried the dye would turn my hair orange and was pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. I could see how the color wouldn't show up too much for those with lighter hair though. Mine is a medium brown.

It is okay at coloring hair but box dyes dry your hair out no matter what.

I loved the ease of use of this product! This was my first try ever, dying my own hair. It was super easy to do! However, the brush didn't allow the product to spread all the way to the tips of my hair, and left clumps. Also, you have to follow the directions precisely, and that was easy since it was shown in pictures. I honestly love the product, and would definitely recommend it... It's just the brush that took a little work getting used to. Once you get used to it, it's very easy to use.

SheSpeaks gave me a box of Loreal Glam Lights light to med to try. I think its a great idea but it could be improved some. I thought the brush was hard to use and I ended up not using it half way thru the process. I started just using my fingers for a little chunkier look. The smell isn't great but with any hair dye product I don't expect it to smell great, so that didn't bother me.The end result? Eh, I could see a couple highlights but not much. My hair is a pretty light blonde color to start with so that probably why. It didn't destroy my hair though, my hair still looks good and I can see some of the highlights so overall its ok.

I received this product from She Speaks to test and review. The concept is great, but the execution can be a little tricky. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but it went pretty smoothly once I did. My hair is already dyed pretty light so it didn't lighten it too much more. It damaged it a little of course, but nothing to excessive. It would be a wonderful product for someone with darker hair. I do like the concept of highlights without the trouble of a cap. Overall it is a good product that I would recommend to someone looking for subtle highlights!

I received this from shespeaks.com to try and I absolutely loved it. I was a little hesitant to try it...My hair is a natural medium blonde and I had never had highlights before. Mixing it was a little intimidating, as you had to mix a powder in with the liquid...however, it was much easier than I thought it was going to be. My hair can be naturally brassy at times, so I was already prepared for the highlights to be brassy as well. Much to my delight, they are not and look pretty natural. I did get a few chunky sections up by my roots, but was able to get it fairly well down the strands. My biggest complaint was the applicator. I ended up using my own comb and it worked much better than the one that was provided with the kit.

I received the product from SheSpeaks for a product test, but I was a bit nervous to try it because I have never done any type of home coloring product before. I didn't clearly understand the instructions for doing a test, and didn't see any color changes either. I then tried to apply the mixture to my find, straight hair and found it difficult to get the lines to appear as nicely as they did on the instructions. The smell was hard to overcome and made my eyes water, but got better after a few minutes. After about 30 minutes, I estimated it was about enough time (unsure because of the previous test). I was unable to see any much difference afterwards, and also in the before and after photos. If any change was noticeable, it is a lightening overall but not really highlights. If I had to do it again, I would have someone else help me apply the product and leave it on longer. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the product trial!

I received the L'Oreal Paris Superior PreferenceŽ GL90 Light Blond to Medium Blond highlights kit from SheSpeaks to try for free and I was very excited about this product. I love having highlights in my hair and this seemed like a cool way to do them myself and save a little money. Although the product has great instructions and is pretty easy to use (it does help to have someone to lend a hand though) I am just not sure I got the effect I was hoping for. Maybe the color was a little too close to my hair color because my highlights were only slightly noticeable but I still really enjoyed this product. I will definitely give it another try when my hair is a bit darker blonde than it is right now. I will say it turned out a nice shiny blonde and not brassy at all which I was really glad about. I would recommend for the girl who likes to DIY at home and I was glad for the opportunity to try it out and will try it again!

I was super excited when I received my Loreal Paris Glam highlights and used it right away. I followed all the instructions and had my friend help with applying it so I got even and full coverage where I wanted the highlights. It was faily easy to apply and I left in on about ten minutes longer then the suggested time. I was a bit dissapointed as the highlights were barely noticable after I finished. My hair is a medium blonde and I was expecting to see some difference. I don't have any color on my hair at the moment and after using the glam highlights there is only a slight difference where I applied the product. If you are looking for something that is very subtle then this is great. If you are looking for more dramatic results then I wouldn't suggest this. Not sure if I would use the product again. I for one am looking for a slightly more noticible look when I get highlights.

This product was just okay. It was easy to mix and get the product ready to use. Because I have long hair, I really needed him (specifically with the hair in the back because I could not reach it). I enlisted the help of my husband since he was around at the time. I highlighted (using the included brush) the hair I could reach and then had my husband do the rest. I left the product on for the amount of time on the box. After washing it off, I did not notice a huge difference between the color or the product and the color of my hair. I think if I had chosen a different color I would have gotten a better result. I received it from Shespeaks.com to try for free.

I got the light blonde because I wanted to go a little bold with my medium brown hair. I've never highlighted my hair before and was fairly stressed throughout the process. I thought I was going to have chunks and patches all over, but surprisingly it can out very subtle. I'm okay with the results they just aren't what I was expecting.

I received Loreal Paris Glam Highlights from She Speaks for free. I've died my hair blonde for 15 years now, so an at home dye kit is no stranger to myself. I've always focused on my roots and used the rest wherever in no uniform matter. So it's easy for the length of my hair to be brassy and different shades. This product did a really good job at evening out overall shade. Yes, it's alot easier than doing it the old way, through a cap! It's not something I would repeat every month though.

Pros: True to L'Oreal, the color is not at all brassy and looks very natural. It nicely compliments the L'Oreal Excellence Creme Light Natural Blonde I use. Cons: Directions aren't really clear and the process is difficult. My suggestion would be to practice using the brush and adjust width and pressure as needed for uniform coverage and to avoid patchy areas.

Received Loreal Glam Lights for free from Shespeaks for me to review. First off this product is very intimidating and I have been dying my hair for years. This was my first attempt at giving myself highlights though. I only did the front pieces because I didn't feel I would be able to apply it to the back of my hair evenly and they came out decent. The product smells and is kind of hard to apply with the given comb. It probably would have been easier with someone helping. I may purchase this and give it another shot.
