I was in early high school when this movie came out, and I was a speech and drama geek. Excerpts from the book/movie were all the hotness for speech tournaments back in the 80's. It's just a good, fun, witty, sweet story. It'ssimply easy to enjoy. For me, it's also quite nostalgic, which may cause me to be a bit biased in my adoration for this film. I do love it though, and I still watch it with my family,or just with myself, often.

A great movie for the whole family.

This is one of the few times that I believe the movie was superior to the book. I disliked the constant 'flashbacks' in the book but in the movie it was sweet. It actually improved the movie and added a sweet child-bearing quality. Very fun movie for all ages.

This movie is a total classic. I can't count how many times I've watched it, but I can mute it and recite it word for word. I read the book as well, but I can honestly say that the movie is way better. There's something for everyone of all ages in this movie. The cast is great, even though only 2 or 3 of them really went anywhere afterwards. Billy Crystal is classic in this movie. There's just not enough I can say to tell you how great it is. Watch it, I promise you will love it just as much as anyone else who has seen this amazing movie.
