Aveda Naturally Straight worked great. It helped with frizz and smoothed out my hair. I would recommend using especially when you are blow drying.

Wow! Now, I have to admit I didn't have any great expectation of this product, and was just stoked to get a free full-size defrizzer but I was happily surprised. Initially, I was a bit disappointed because the label read as if it were only for curly hair and mine is mildly wavy at most. Still, I decided to follow the instructions to the letter and applied only the Aveda Naturally Smooth to my hair after my next three washes prior to blow-drying. The first two times, I noticed greater manageability and smoothness but the third time was truly defining. I applied the cream in sections, blow-dried with the aid of a round brush, and my hair was shiny and sleek! Sure, it didn't have the perfect polished look of a straightener, but I actually preferred the natural smoothness. A little styling cream and I was good to go! This stuff straightened better than my Redken 08 Straightener and even the famed Fekkai Iron Polisher. I would definitely recommend and purchase again. :)

Thanks for the free full-size sample of Aveda Naturally Straight! I have used it for several weeks, only having to use it twice weekly, as it works through several washes. I don't know that I am truly the target audience for this product. I have fairly - ok - really short hair, with an ever so slight annoying wave, which I can pretty much tame with a round brush or a quick hit with the flatiron, when needed. That said, I loved the texture of the product. It wasn't too heavy on my really fine hair (I have loads of super fine hair), and it added some thickness to my hair, which is always nice. My hair doesn't tend to stay in place because it's so fine. It gave me a nice shine, and I pretty much used it as a leave-in conditioner, meaning I could lightly rinse my hair with conditioner daily, rather than leaving it in longer. The product did pretty much eliminate my need for a flatiron (unless I totally biffed blowdrying by not paying attention and using the wrong angle), and added shine. I think if I had shoulder length hair again, I'd try this, as I think it serves much more of a purpose. Overall, it was a good product, but I don't know if I truly need it.

I just thought this product was so-so. It seemed to help straighten my naturally curly hair out some, but I still had to blow dry it with a brush and then use a straightening iron. I was glad to get to try it, but I would not buy it now that I have used it.

After using it I notice my hair are lot smoother, shiny and manageble and also stays straight for long. Smell is great and consistency is right too. I am happy the way my hair looks after using it, however, I wish it was possible without using hair dryer and flat iron. You have to blow dry first and then flat iron to get desired results, so I don't see where it is cutting the styling time. Also my frizz seems to come back by the end of day. Yes! My hair is super long, thin and pretty curly, so it tangles easily, frizzes all over, and is generally a hot mess of kinky curls. My hair puffs up mid-day after styling in the morning, and with Naturally Straight, it remained smoother for a much longer period of time. Was my hair able to air dry perfectly straight after applything this? No, but I did have calmer hair and frizz, which is a welcome change! I'd recommend this product for someone with hair like mine, for sure. Definitely an improvement over what I've been using!

I am definitely a fan! I thought it straightened my hair well, but it didn't last for three days - had to flat iron again on the second day. I was okay with this though, because it left my hair so soft and shiny! For me, shiny hair is a rare occurrence, so this was a very nice surprise.
