This is pretty handy to have if you don't like dealing with a mess. The only reason it has 4 stars is that it is not made to handle large (kid) spills or cleanups

I bought one of these because I have mobility and health issues that make it hard for me to clean up. With boys, I have to stay on top of the cleaning or it looks like a cyclone went through the house. It does what it says. Dirt evaporated after a few passes with the Shark Steam Mop. There's two sides on the fabric pad. One for dirt lifting and the other to scrub. They're both pretty soft, so I didn't see any damage to my tile floors. I do notice a smell when it's in use. It's not terrible but it is noticeable, but evaporates within minutes of cleaning so it's not a deal breaker. There's also stickiness to the floors. I wonder if it's because I don't use distilled water as recommended in the manual? I do wish it picked up stains quicker. Sometimes a bad stain can take a few minutes to get up. It is also a little bit of work to get the water into the intake part for steaming. I wish the tank was bigger and the cord longer. I have to unplug frequently, and refill the tank at least one during my cleaning sessions.

This was such a great product.I loved this and I would recommend to any one to try and they will not be disappointed.

I purchased a Shark Steam mop after we moved into our new home, for my hardwood floors. So I've had it for about 6 months. The reason I bought it, was my neighbors hardwood floors ALWAYS looked beautiful. So I asked what she used and she told me a Shark. I went out and bought one and now MY FLOORS ALWAYS LOOK BEAUTIFUL!!! ( I also own a Shark vacuum!!)

I bought this product to use on my hardwood floors because I had heard great thing about it. It not only left dirt on the floor, it left horrible steaks. I ended up by returning it for a refund.

Works great on my ceramic and marble tile, but isn't great on the slate in my kitchen. The slate is bumpy with different levels of ridges, therefore, as the mop is a flat pad, it does not have the capability to get into the grooves of the tile or the grout. I have found the best way to clean the slate is with the old fashion rope mop & bucket.

Love love love! Its a must have for laminate flooring!

This mop is great for cleaning my tile floors. It gives you the great feeling of knowing your floors are clean and sanitized. It is easy to fill and use.

Amazing I definitely feel like my floors couldn't be any cleaner now! love it!

This works great for steaming up sticky messes like spilled juice or dirty footprints. However, it tends to push dirt into corners and edges rather than picking it up and the handle is flimsy.

Can live with out it specially with small kids and a small pet. Every house should have one.

I use mine now for almost a year it works great. specially for hardwood flooring and laminate.

I owned my shark steam mop for about a month before it snapped in half...no bueno!

Although it cleaned well, it did not last long, maybe a year if that. Was not happy about that, actually not sure if I want to get another Shark, I don't want to spend all that money for it not to last long. They don't make things to last like they use to.
