I have also visited this site for restaurants gift cards. But they did not have a good selections of restaurants in my area. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this company. However, I thank you for making me aware of other concerns about this company.

Its legitimate, but you have to read the fine print! almost all the places that accept them require a minimum purchase plus a gratuity (somewhere in 18% range)..don't think of it as a "gift card" but more of a coupon.

I used up some airline miles and got Restaurant.com "gift cards". The thing I don't understand is how they can call them "gift cards" when they all have conditions attached (like to use a $50 gift card, your bill has to be $100 or more). I didn't like it at all. I found the website difficult and the offers the restaurants list are no different that what you can get using an Entertainment book.

I recently used this site and purchased several gift certificates to three different restaurants. No problems at all. Be advised that the certificates are NOT mailed to you, you have to print them off. If you have pop-up windows blocked, the print window may not come up. That needs to be turned off. Otherwise, you can print of the certificates from the confirmation email you receive for payment. No problems with the restaurants taking the certificates either. I got 12 certificates for $7.00. Can't beat that....

They often run specials where you can get a $25 G/C for as low as $2-3! I've personally never had any issues with their customer service staff. I corresponded via email and they were prompt and efficient. One of the restaurant's I had purchased a G/C for decided to no longer accept their G/Cs so they promptly issued me credit for the purchase of future G/C. A lot of my co-workers and myself use the site.

The idea of buying a $25 gift certificate for $10 is great but only if you can do it over the internet. The website wan not working for me so I called the 800 number to make my purchase and the guy was rude. He told me to clean out my cookies and register online and when I tried to do it while I had him on the line he was annoyed that I was unsuccesful and he had to register me himself. He was then very short with me and I tried quickly to complete my transaction and get off the phone. I won't use them again. It's true what they say... "If you have a great experiance somewhere you tell a friend. If you have a horrible experiance you tell 7 friends."
