Very good book and the movie is not too bad itself, i would reccommend this book to people.

The Kite Runner takes the reader on a disturbing journey through a country plagued by instability, injustice and war and yet the beauty of the culture shines through. This was not a book i couldn't put down. Several times i found myself too upset to continue reading, but the story and the clarity of the period motivated me to return and continue reading. This is an extraordinary book, worth the read,

I got this book because I am interested in other cultures. But I found it to be SO depressing!!!!!

My English class read this, and by week's end we were all wearing handmade T-shirts that read "For you, a thousand times over." This book is that good. Powerfully written, heartbreakingly brutal, and ultimately a textbook case of a page-turner.

One of my all-time favs!!! Beautifully written, full characters, & a infectious story line!! * Also gave me alot of insight about the people of Afghanistan...MUCH BETTER THAN THE MOVIE!!!

This was a beautiful book, I am so glad I read it. It is insightful and touching without being over-the-top.

This book is amazing, i had to read it in my college class and was by far one of the best books i've read. Once i began reading, it captured me and i couldn't put it down. The story is amazing and well written. The movie was great and made me cry. They cast the perfect Hassan and Amir in the movie. I think the message that is send across is powerful and everyone should watch the movie and book!!
