great characterization and good plot twist. i just hate the swearing. it destroys the dialogue in the book wherever it occurs.

The author did an amazing job at connecting the reader to the characters.. I tell everyone to make sure they have time to read the last 100 pages alone with no interuptions (and make sure there is a box of tissues close by).. If you watch the movie after reading the book, do not spend the entire movie comparing the differences. I assure you that the movie will be no fun if you take this approach. If you watch the movie as a completely seperate story from the book, the movie is good as well.

This book was awesome. I have never cried so hard i boohoed with the snot and all. GREAT BOOK!!!

I actually just started reading this book, after seeing the movie and I love how it is giving the perspective from each character. Definitely a must read!

This is the first book by Jodi Picoult that I read, and I loved it. She did an amazing job capturing everyone's different perspectives and emotions. I cried at several different points in the book. Most of Jodi Picoult's books have different chapters being written from someone else's perspectives, and that is confusing at first, but once you get used to it, it really does make all the difference. My advise, if you are thinking about reading this book, is to give it more than just 5 pages if you don't like it at first.

I love Jodi Picoult she is an amazing writer, this book brought me back to my love of reading after taking a long time off due to college reading burn out, I have read all of her novels and am seldom disappointed, the story telling is wonderful, I love the different points of views...the movie although okay was nothing like the book! She is an author I recommend to all my friends

Good book. A tear jerker.

This is a great book, I couldn't put it down once I started reading. I have not seen the movie and am not sure if I want to. This novel made me a fan of Jodi Picoult.

I read this book and found it okay, and an interesting topic, but wouldn't put it at the top in comparison to other writers I have read.

I love Jodi Picoult's books! I started wtih My Sisters Keeper, which was in my opnion her best. My sister and I trade off her books on a regular basis. I just read Handle With Care. Ugh, what a good one!! Vera05, my heart and prayers to you and your family.
