I enjoyed watching the movie but felt it did not do the book justice. For me the book had so much emotion and kept you hooked where as the movie fell a little flat at times.

well after u read the actual book i guess you wouldn't like the movie much. the movie misses out on a lot of important stuff.but i would definitely recommend it to people who haven't read the book before.

This is coming from a 23 year old female who has not read the book. This movie reminded me of the less violent American version of Battle Royale, but it's still a good movie. Not the greatest thing I've saw, but decent.

Good movie for the two young adults aka daughters still living in y house while finishing their education. I was a big Buffy the Vampire Killer fan and so for at least now nothing can top that show for me with regards to vampires and teenage love affairs.

Definitely wasn't as good as the book. I think the direction could've been better. But all in all it was a good movie!

Great movie This is a great movie! My family enjoyed watching this together! The book wasn't as good as the movie. But definitely a great story line!

Not quite as good as the books but still pretty good!

I thought this movie was made very well, acted appropriately, and better than any movie in the Twilight saga, thus far. I'm a big Jennifer Lawrence fan, and think she's a wonderful actress, and she proves again in this movie, her acting credibility.

My husband and I recently watched this because of all the hype surrounding it. We agreed that the movie was pretty good, but it seemed like some things were left out. Neither of us have read the books (although we now plan to). I'm hoping the books can help fill in some of the gaps in the movie and explain more about the society.

Really good movie. Ive yet to read the book but I do plan on it after having seen it.

I usually don't like movies when they are made from books, however I did like this movie! I thought that the movie depicted the book pretty well. I was a little concerned about how violent the movie was going to be and they did a good job of making it not very graphic. I think that the movie stayed pretty true to the book too which is a good thing!! I'm very curious to see how they do on the next two movies and how they are able to follow the story line and how violent they are going to make these movies. I think that the book is better but the movie is pretty good and would watch it again.

The movie was great. I had read the book and it is not often that a movie, based on a book, is able to incorporate so many of the detail, but it was accomplished here. While the movie is not appropriate for younger children, under 12, I would recommend it to teenagers and adults, alike.

I liked both the movie and books. I ran around having everyone read the books before watching the movies because I think it's important to know the book before watching any book turned movie.
