Although pricey smells amazing and lasts I have been using it for years

Although Chanel No. 5 is a symbol of timeless beauty and a classic fragrance, it's not for everyone. Like a previous commenter had mentioned, I had also always heard wonderful things about this scent, but was sadly disappointed when I had finally tried it at a department store. It had reminded me of little old ladies who spray too much on and everyone nearby ends up choking on the overwhelming scent. Now, every time I smell this fragrance, elderly women is the first thought that goes through my head, and I don't want other people saying that I smell like their grandma when I walk past. While this might be a great scent for some, it's not the best choice for me.

i love this this is my sent!! so great, and vintage, what i really injoy is the fact that its not so sweet or powdery like alot of new perfuemes, i do think the EAU DE PARFUM smell so much better then the EAU DE TOILETTE, haven't good to exprince the real perfume yet but one i hope to. any way i think you can ggo wrong with it,but i kinda like it becouse i don't think every one wears it, and it kinda smell like roses, which i have always loved

Disappointed. I'd heard raves and raves about No 5 for many years. Last year, I tried the sample bottle at the department store and was sad. Fortunately, I also tried Coco and THAT was lovely.

OK, so does this item really Need a review? Probably not. I know that this is one item most of us ladies would give our right high heel for. Every time I smell it I think of my grandmother. Mom used to tell me the story about when grandad was a pilot, and he flew to Paris and brought my grandmother back a large bottle of it. This was before the perfume became so popular. So now it is one of my favorites. It has the most incredible smell and it never fails to make me feel special, like the prettiest lady in the room. It is totally worth every penny.
