I absolutley love this! I have heard some of my relatives say it seems like more trouble than it's worth, but I would buy another in an instant if anything happens to this one. Includes a pump-style mechanism for spinning the salad rather than a pull-string. Even includes a brake to stop the spinning. Excess water from your vegetables is spun out of the collander into the bowl. Holds a lot of lettuce! and you can use the bowl to serve your salad. Bowl includes a non-skid bottom. I have had mine for years. Great product!

There are few kitchen tools that I would say have revolutionized my cooking life, but this salad spinner is one of them. It's like the designers set out to correct every possible concern someone could have with a salad spinner and did so successfully. Rather than pull a cord or crank a handle, you just push down to spin -- gravity is working in your favor. Rather than have to use one arm to hold the spinner in place, grippy rubber on the bottom does it for you. Rather than have to wait while the spinner comes to a complete stop, you just press the brake. One of my favorite features is that the spinning bowl is attractive enough to use as the serving bowl. And if you have leftovers you can just pop on the top and put it in the fridge. I'm not one to advocate waste, but if you don't have one of these, it's worth getting rid of your old salad spinner and replacing it with this model. You will never regret it.

i got this on a whim and am so glad that i did - it really works. i tend to buy spinach or romaine lettuce and chop it up into 1" bite size pieces then wash it. this really does work when it comes to getting out the water. the first time i spin it i usually wind up with about 1" of water at the bottom, then i spin it once or twice more. it also helps the lettuce last longer by insulating it a little for the cold fridge and humidity. i recommend this product!

I like the pump feature for spinning. The bowl serves as a container after you rinse and spin the excess water out and you are able to store it in the fridge if you are not using it right away. This salad spinner has come a long way from the one I used years ago. The pump surpassed the string-pull mechanism, the break lets you control when to stop the spinning, I would recommend this product to all my friends, we are always looking for things to make cooking easier.

Gone are the days that I used to dry my romaine lettuce leaves off with a paper towel. I tried another brand of salad spinner, that shall remain nameless. I don't want to embarrass any salad spinners of the world, but it had a string. I ended up only using it one time because it did not work good at all. I invested a little more money into the OXO salad spinner and I love it. It is really easy to use and clean. My kids even like to help put the salad through the spin cycle. I never knew that getting excess water off my lettuce would make it taste so much better. I love OXO. They make great, durable products.

This is hands down the best salad spinner ever. It works great, is sturdy and all the components are made in an efficient manner. No handles or string to get in the way or break. And the stop button works and is a nice feature to have. I will only use this salad spinner. i have given this as gifts too!

We eat a lot of salads because I am trying to get everyone to be more healthy. The OXO Salad Spinner is a life safer. I always worry about contamination with vegetables and make sure they are washed properly. The Spinner lets me wash the vegetables as long as I want, and it easily removes all the moisture from them. It is extremely easy to use. I simply put the lettuce or other vegetables inside while they are wet, spin the top, and all the water ends up in the bottom. I can lift the basket of dry vegetables out and use it. I love the product.

This is one terrific salad spinner! Easy to pump, and to stop. It holds a good bit of lettuce and I like the fact that the bowl catches the water and can be used to serve the salad. The lid fits good and the machine is sturdy. I love the non skid bottom. Perfect for someone clumsy like me. It is a perfect kitchen gadget to have on hand. We are eating healthier and this is perfect for that reason alone. What better way to make a salad. This is fantastic.

This is the best salad spinner by far! First, the pump is so easy to use to get it spinning really fast. No cranking involved and even my mother with terrible arthritis can use it easily. And the brake is a nice feature so you don't have to wait for the spinner to slow down. Also, the bowl that catches the water is fully self-contained, so you don't have to spin it in the sink. My old spinner had holes in the bottom and if you forgot that and spun it on the counter, you got water everywhere! It is sturdy and has a no-skid bottom, which is a really nice touch. The lid fits nice and tight, so you can wash and spin your lettuce and put the whole thing in the fridge to chill the salad. All around the BEST salad spinner I have ever used.
