I bought one of these because I have mobility and health issues that make it hard for me to clean up. With boys, I have to stay on top of the cleaning or it looks like a cyclone went through the house. It does what it says. Dirt evaporated after a few passes with the Shark Steam Mop. There's two sides on the fabric pad. One for dirt lifting and the other to scrub. They're both pretty soft, so I didn't see any damage to my tile floors. I do notice a smell when it's in use. It's not terrible but it is noticeable, but evaporates within minutes of cleaning so it's not a deal breaker. There's also stickiness to the floors. I wonder if it's because I don't use distilled water as recommended in the manual? I do wish it picked up stains quicker. Sometimes a bad stain can take a few minutes to get up. It is also a little bit of work to get the water into the intake part for steaming. I wish the tank was bigger and the cord longer. I have to unplug frequently, and refill the tank at least one during my cleaning sessions.

This is pretty handy to have if you don't like dealing with a mess. The only reason it has 4 stars is that it is not made to handle large (kid) spills or cleanups

Love this steam mop!! Really releases a lot of steam. I've bought 2 because on the first one I used regular tap water and steam wouldn't come out after a couple of months. Second one I've had for over a year and works perfect , I only use bottle water in it. Really recommend if you want to disinfect without any harsh chemicals.

Interested in steam mops? Start here For people with full-time jobs and hardwood floors who are just starting out with this "adulting" thing, the Shark Steam Mop is an amazing investment. It works well on hardwood floors and smooth laminate, but I gave it a 4 our of 5 because this is not the end-all of steam mops. My kitchen linoleum is textured, and this just does not seem to get the dirt out of those uneven areas without unreasonable effort. However, this was the mop that introduced me to steam-cleaning and it would be a great easy-to-use beginner mop for people who are trying to figure out if they would like a pricier model but are unsure if steam-cleaning is right for them.

I love my Steam mop. It got the dirt off of the apartment floor. I tried to get the dirt off with a normal mop but couldn't. My fiance and I bought this and the first time i used it the hard dirt came right off.

Really easy to use. I use on the lock and groove wood laminate floors. Will sometimes leave streaks on the floor. Does get the floor wet but dries really quickly.

Works great! I'm in my second one, cause hard water ruined it. Now I'm using distilled water. Really hot steam cleaning my hardwood floors and no chemicals, perfection.

I watched my friend clean up after a party with her shark steam mop. In little time and no effort her floors were sparkling with shine. You would have never guessed that 9 kids and a dog were at her house 15 min. ago. I sooo have to get one of these.

Pleased overall I have been using my Shark Steam Mop for over a year now. Things I like: easy to fill the water chamber, heats quickly, releases a good amount of steam, cord is longer than my last steam mop so I can reach more places, cover is plush and the mop head can flip to use the other side, cover is easy to wash and washes well. Things I don't like: a little hard to put the cover onto the mop head. Overall I really like this mop and it seems to get the floor more clean than sponge mops or swiffers.

It is okay. I would prefer more steam as you have to go over and over to get it the floor clean.

For Lazy Cleaners I hate washing my floors and I wanted to get something that was easy to use. My Shark Steamer is my life saver. All you do is add water, get the steamer going and you've got clean floors. It washes away dirt and stains and leaves your floor looking brand new.

As a maid, this is my favorite steam mop! I have a few clients that own them and wish for them to be used and it?s always a joy when I get to. I plan on getting one for my own home. I already own two Shark vacuums (a duo pet pro for work and a cordless one for my own personal use at my own home), and this will be my next purchase. You only use water in it which I love, that said, please don?t add chemicals to it. I have one client that would add different chemicals to it and it didn?t take long before it could no longer be used.
