Had a hard time getting into this book. I couldn't understand what the hype was all about. If I hadn't been on a 10 hour overseas flight I probably wouldn't have finished it.

I had several people suggest this book and was skeptical, but once I figured out the characters I was hooked and ran through the sequels at an alarming rate LOL. The characters are raw and gritty and real. The plot and character development kept me guessing, sometimes right, sometimes not, but the information was usually there to guess correctly. The main character is unusual, and unyielding in the face of horrible situations. One thing that I loved about this book and it's sequels is that it wasn't a romantic story or a cookie cutter mystery. It was confusing and human and challenged my tendency toward being idealistic. The author planned more in the series, but died suddenly, never knowing how successful his novels became, :(

I love this book, it is a thriller that you want to stop reading because it's desturbing but you just cant. I read this book so quickly. It is really hard to put down.

One of the best books I have read in a really long time, I was having a hard time putting it down!!

I loved these books I couldn't put them down once i started readying them. It starts out slow but don't put it down you will regret it if you do!

I read the collection (3 books) in days... I loved it. You find yourself falling for the main caracter who is a tough cookie because she needs too. Don't watch the movies until you read the books! Great read!

I have read the first two books of this trilogy and just bought the third. I would recommend it, and have. I have loaned these books to alot of my clients. They are still making the rounds a year later. The first one is a bit of a slow start but then it just takes off. I'm a huge reader so it was nice to try a new author. I did see The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo movie. It had sub-titles ,which I hate, but was easy to follow. The movie was very close to the book.

I LOVED this book and am now on the final book in the series. I also am anxious to see the movie, once Netflix stops throttling me...LOL!

I am about 200 pages into this book and it is taking me awhile to get into but it is good.

I loved all 3 of his books. The first one was really difficult for me to get into... lots of Swedish names & places. However since the book had been highly recommended I kept reading and then couldn't put it down. The 2nd book was my favorite. I liked the 3rd book as well as the 1st. I just rented the DVD, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and am having friends over tomorrow for a movie afternoon... we all read the book and loved it.

I absolutely loved all three Stieg Larsson books. They kept me on the edge all the time. Lisbeth Salander is an amazing character that you can't help rooting for and wanting to protect. This is not even my usual genre of fiction, but it was recommended to me by a friend on facebook and I am so glad that I took the chance. Book #3 starts out VERY SLOW, but the second half of the book is amazing. Thankfully, the first book comes with a family tree, which i found myself constantly turning to to figure out who was who. Their are so many deep characters in these books.

Excellent book! I will be honest with you, I had a hard time getting into it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down. I finished "The Girl who Played with Fire," now I just need to read the last book.

this book was great could not put it down

love this series, very sad that there will be no further. was a bit disappointed in the third book though

I just finished the second of the Larsson series. I don't usually read much in this genre, but these books are definitely can't put them down-ers, and I can't wait to start the third one.
