I have used the site several times. It's absolutely great! The only catch is to be sure there are restaurants in your area. If there are than you can't beat the deals!!! I would love to see their list continue to grow.

I'm surprised by some of the negative complaints here. Restaurant.com is exactly what it says - a way to get reductions off lunch and dinner tabs at nice restaurants! Sure there's fine print but you can read that print online BEFORE you buy a certificate! Restaurant.com is a great way to get discounted meals. We have used it for a few years and have been very satisfied. My only (small) gripe is the ever fluctuating discount. One day you can get 60% off, a week later it's 80% off. Why not just be consistent and have one flat price all of the time? Also, in our area there's about 25 restaurants; we don't see a minimum purchase of $50 like others are complaining about in this blog. Some are great offers like $10 off $20. Some say they will add an 18% gratuity while others do not. You just have to know what you are working with.

I had found restaurant.com on an online blog that was advertising 80% off. Naturally I thought I was getting a super fabulous deal and I rushed right over to buy some certificates. I STILL haven't used my certificates due to the fine print. I understand that the goal is to get you in the door, but my family rarely dines out and would much rather prefer to do take out. Also the gift certificate for the Melting Pot seemed to be great as I wanted to use it on Girls Night Out, but yeah... Unfortunately you can only use it on the $100 meals...

We live in a not-so small town (about 250,000 people) but there is only one restaurant available. We ate there for our anniversary--the restaurant was great, but the certificate only covered about half of our food and we couldn't use any other promotions with it. It might have been cheaper to skip the certificate and use their promos. I would use this site more if more restaurant choices were available. We did purchase three certificates for a restaurant that closed--Restaurant.com gave us credit to purchase three more! I was very pleased they do this--I just wish we had another place to go!

My husband and I don't often spend the amount required to be able to redeem the certificate. Our evening certificate requires that we spend $35. - Yet this restaurant is priced so that I could order two of the top priced menu items, and would not meet the required $35. However, the lunch time certificates much easier to redeem.

I like the website and offers. There aren't a lot of choices in my area, but I have been able to use a few. You just need to be careful and read the terms of each one because they are different depending on the restaurant and also whether you are buying a $25 for $2 or $10 for $25....etc. It's a good deal though and I like being able to get a little discount going out to eat at a place I'd probably go anyway.

very disappointing. i feel like the company is a huge scam! they need to advertise the "gift cards" as coupons instead.

In my area everything is weekday only and often you have to spend $50.00 on food before you can use it. This is not helpful to me.

I have always been skeptical about this website, and never used them, however even if I did they dont offer any restaurants around my area

I love this website. I constanty get gift certificates between $1 and $2. I lived near scenic 30A in the Florida panhandle and there were tons of great restaurants to pick from throughout that area. Now I live in Vegas and there are almost 200 restaurants to pick from.

I visit this website every once in awhile when I get an email about their "sales" and I can NEVER find restaurants in my area that I'm interested in. I live in a small town and the choices are minimal and for those that do participate, they put so many restrictions on the certificates (they should really just call them coupons since you typically have a minimum purchase) that it doesn't make it a good deal. Have never purchased one but I would love to try it if they could get more restaurants to participate.

I love this website! I received gift certificates that should have cost $25 for only $2 by signing up for their e-mail. All you have to do is purchase them, then print them off the website. You don't even have to wait for them to come in the mail. I have noticed that if you tell them up front that you have this gift certificate that your service declines, so I recommend waiting to show it to them until time for the bill! :) Otherwise, I buy them for vacations, or just a night out in town. The restaurants aren't prevalent, so pick and chose a favorite or try something new.

I live in a smaller town and it really narrows down my restuarant choices. Not only that but 1/2 the time the place I choose is "not available at this time." The deals are great but I've had a restaurant tell me they hate when people come in with those (needless to say I don't eat there anymore). If you can find a good deal on a restaurant you like, buy it!!

I love this site. great way to try new places to eat while saving money !!

Many of the restaurants here in Mobile, AL have quit accepting the coupons... I was told that restaurant.com makes them wait 3 mos to get their money
